History of Barangay Pacifico
The Barangay Pacific is called “PACIFICO” for the reason that it is facing the Pacific Ocean, located at the north beside the seashore. The total of 188.8 Land area 182.1893 alienable and disposal, 6.607 timberland.
The population 582 having 132 households, 167 families, 10 fishermen, 8 farmers, 5 drivers, 54 surf instructor, 58 business like hotels, resorts, homestay, restaurants, laundry shop and sari – sari store. 51 professional graduates, 7 electricians, 60 or more hotels, resorts / restaurant workers, 20 carpenters / skills, and 50 laborers, more or less.
Barangay Pacifico is one of the tourist destinations in Siargao, part of the Municipality of San Isidro, surfing capital in town. Month of November 1954, the declaration of Pacifico to become a Barangay with the authority of the Municipal Mayor of Del Carmen, which is Numancia, the old name of that town Lead by Hon. Mayor Miguel Lazala.
Eustaquia Merlin Malaza a widow donated a 1.5 hectare for Barangay site and 588,000 in school site, Juan Baquilo Murillo donated a lot for Barangay Cemetery around the year of 1952, they clean it up the whole barangay and build each of their houses.

Caitano Peligro become the first chief of the Barangay, Lamberto Empuesto is a police of the Barangay, name of the witness the origin of history is, Adriano Garidos, Felimon Languez, Octito Murillo, Arsenio Gorgonio and Caitano Peligro. They had 13 families, and the total of their population was 39.
