THROUGH THE STARS: A PSYCHOLOGICAL SCI-FI GL (GIRL'S LOVE) DRAMA

For the second time joining CineKasubay 2026, ACE Studios, in cooperation with UA Film Society, finally made history with a film boasting stunning visual effects and a gripping psychological drama. The film blends inspiration from various concepts, including "My Perfect You," the comet scene from a survival game in "Alice in Borderland Season 2," and the acclaimed Japanese animated film "Kimi No Nawa" (Your Name).

The film stars Jeaney Moit as Lyra Gonzaga, who struggles with schizophrenia triggered by a severe head injury from a motorcycle accident. Her condition leads to psychotic episodes and hallucinations, where she meets Ash/Ashtrid Gonzaga played by Jenefe Juluat and imagines a catastrophic comet impact.

The cast also includes Jelyn Pearl Berte as Estrelle Gonzaga (Lyra's Mother), Ralph Danielle Abella as Dr. Orion Sanidoza, and special roles by Geoan Magdayao, Emmanuel Gonzales, Stephanie Perez, Saihra Abraham (replaced by Jalene Domingo), and Paul V. Agustin, with Alyson Dinaque making a special participation.

The film garnered awards for 2nd Best Film, Best Costume Design, and Best Editing. The creative video editor humorously noted that the film was made over five days without AI help, with visual effects and overlays sourced from YouTube 😊.

The Film Writer and Director Paul Vincent Agustin said, "Be imaginative, be creative, and always think positive!"
