One of my most unforgettable moments from our Vietnam trip wasn’t a famous landmark or a bucket-list destination—it was meeting Ivy and Yama and hearing their beautiful love story.
We met them by pure chance.
One afternoon, while my friends and I were taking a coffee break at one of the cafés inside The Apartment, we noticed two girls across the building waving at us. They were offering to take our photo, and of course, we gladly said yes. In return, we also took a photo of them from afar (photos in the comments!).
Then we thought, “Why not give them a quick photo session as a remembrance of their trip?”
We hurried out of the café, hoping to catch them before they left. After introducing ourselves, we learned that they weren’t just friends—they were partners from Taiwan.
As we started taking their photos, they told us they didn’t know how to pose. We simply smiled and said, “Just be yourselves.”
And that’s exactly what they did.
The result? Genuine smiles, effortless moments, and one of the easiest and most natural photo sessions we’ve ever had.
While chatting, they shared a little of their story. Ivy told us that they met at a language school in Malta, where they were both studying English. They didn’t know each other before that trip, but about a year after meeting, love found its way.
Sometimes, the best stories begin in the most unexpected places.
This experience reminded me that love is universal. It doesn’t need labels or explanations—it simply deserves to be seen, respected, and celebrated.
Thank you, Ivy and Yama, for trusting us with your story and allowing us to capture a small part of your journey together. It was truly an honor.
Happy Pride! 🏳️🌈❤️
