Flores de Mayo (Spanish for "Flowers of May") is a month-long traditional Catholic festival celebrated in the Philippines. It honors the Blessed Virgin Mary and features daily offerings of flowers, prayers, and a grand, historical-religious procession known as the Santacruzan.
The Daily Devotion Throughout the month of May, devoteesβoften children dressed in whiteβgather in their local parish churches to offer bouquets of freshly picked flowers at the altar of the Virgin Mary. The floral offerings are accompanied by novena prayers, the praying of the rosary, and the singing of Marian hymns.
Special Thanks to Ma'am Ethel Verdin Fabellar for providing the foods for the event and sponsoring the Photography services. Your generosity made the day incredibly special for everyone involved.
