I grew up on the island of Balabac for over eleven years, yet I never realized how special it was back then.

Who knew I was living in a paradise all along?
Who would’ve thought the day would come when our little island would be appreciated?

Sometimes, we feel unimportant or overlooked, doubting our own worth. But what we don’t always see is that our moment to shine will come—maybe not today, but it will come.

Even better, there’s someone who has loved you from the day you were born—God. He’s always there, patiently waiting for you to notice Him, just as He has always seen how truly wonderful you are.

Kuya Isay, a hardworking fisherman, earns his living through paglalambat and pagbabaklad. With strong faith in God, he has received many blessings. He faithfully gives his tithes and offerings and shares fish with his friends. Because of this, he has seen God provide even more for him.

He made a deal with his workers, letting them sell some fish for extra money, called a “sideline.” Kuya Isay bought the fish from them, but his workers didn’t give tithes from this extra income at first. Later, Kuya Isay decided to set aside tithes from their sideline earnings himself. After he started doing this, something amazing happened: instead of earning sideline money only once or twice a week, they began earning it almost every day, surprising both Kuya Isay and his workers.

This shows how much God blesses those who stay faithful to Him.
