I'm standing in the middle of Mount Bromo looking down, mount bromo is an active volcano and part of the a plain called the "Sea of Sand" a protected nature reserve since 1919.

K a t y d i d, an insect that lives in the jungle of south-east Asia and doesn't really need much effort to hide.

Since jungle is a dangerous place to call home, camouflage is their only way to spend the day waiting for the night.

I'm lucky enough to spot this guy!

The eyes of an owl are not true “eyeballs.” Their tube-shaped eyes are completely immobile, providing binocular vision which fully focuses on their prey and boosts depth perception.

Their eyes are supported by bony eye sockets and they cannot turn their eyes. Instead, owls rotate their heads up to 270 degrees (135 degrees to either side), but they cannot turn their heads all the way around.
