A portrait session of Michelle that felt less about posing, and more about becoming.

When she first shared her thoughts and vision for this shoot, I already knew this would carry a completely different perspective from her previous sessions.. something more grounded, more reflective.

This concept became a quiet reminder that some transformations don’t need words, only faith. Not the end of who she was, but the beginning of who she’s becoming. Once chasing the world, now walking in grace.

This time, I was honestly hesitant about how I could truly give justice to Jim & Mica’s engagement session.

I’ve always been used to creatively directing my subjects.. guiding poses and building moments inside the frame. But this shoot became another reminder that love doesn’t always need direction. Sometimes, the best photos come from simply letting people be themselves.

And as I work on their photos, I found myself creating a series for their session.. each one telling a different part of their story. And in between the laughter and unscripted moments, the story slowly followed on its own.

This session reminded me again that photography isn’t just about perfect poses. It’s about preserving how love genuinely feels.
