Every episode of Project Seifuku is shaped by the person in front of the camera, and for its fourth episode, that person is Sojuelle Mei.
A cosplayer, creative, and someone who brings a quiet warmth wherever she goes, Soju has a way of making even the simplest moments feel memorable. Whether she's stepping into a character or simply being herself, there's a sincerity to her presence that made her a perfect fit for what this project has always been about.
When we started Project Seifuku last year, I wanted to create photographs that felt like memories. Not dramatic moments or grand stories, but the small pieces of everyday life that stay with us longer than we expect.
Over time, this project became something more personal. Each episode became a small collection of moments that reminded me why I fell in love with photography in the first place. Not because photographs can stop time, but because they can help us remember how a moment felt.
Spending the afternoon taking photos with Soju felt a lot like that. Somewhere along the way, the photographs began to feel less like portraits and more like pages from a memory book. Not memories of a specific place or time, but memories of a feeling.
That's what this fourth episode became. A collection of quiet moments, cloudy weather, and borrowed nostalgia, brought to life through these photos.

To afternoons that seemed endless.
