J Mangussad Photography Capturing genuine happiness and love in life's fleeting moments. For the past decade, Jay has been practicing photography professionally.

He started out as a freelancer and stylist back in college then got himself hooked to reportage photojournalism after graduating. He became, and still is a contributor for a couple of news outfits to this day. The style and discipline he learned in that environment opened the doors for FotograPio Studios, the studio which he and his wife, Ana, opened in 2016. For Jay and Ana, FotograPio is not ju

st a studio but time & space for them to be creative together while capturing meaningful moments and memorable celebrations. Throughout Jay’s career as an Industrial Designer, his time with various consumer industries(with the referrals of friends in the industry) opened opportunities for him to new and exciting projects: portraits, product, architectural, travel, lifestyle & editorial photography. For the past 5 years, this scope has been the bread and butter of the studio. To identify the new line of work and its nature, Jay Mangussad Photography has come about as the main brand today.

My reflection this year’s Advent and Christmas season led me to . Not simply a tool to brighten up space, but a call for each and everyone of us to become the “light” in other people’s lives. I fixated on this and it led me to witness and experience darkness(and in many ways too). I know how all of us have our own dark places to traverse, and that it requires different levels of effort to find strength in finding joy and happiness.

So I pray that in any way, we may not only find joy, the joy that light brings in every beautiful encounter we have with our loved ones(and even those random people we meet along our way), but also, that we ourselves may become THE light that others have been desperately needing-to experience this season.

God bless you all this Christmas season! Maligayang Pasko!
