One of the most important things you can do with your underwater photo is improve the contrast. Shooting through water tends to suck the contrast out of a photo. Simply move the contrast slider to the right until the photo looks good. Sometimes dark photos gives a different pespective.

Super Typhoon Rai (known as “Odette” in the Philippines) is the 15th storm to hit the country this year and is the strongest storm of 2021. The typhoon made landfall on Thursday, Dec. 16, Southeastern part of Philippines and affececting Northern Mindanao, Central Visayas, and Palawan.

Transportation, and other services have been restored in some areas, but many remain no electricty, no food, no water, no shelter, no clothes, and no medicine.

The extent of the damages following its aftermath, leads humanitarian efforts by our local community in Bohol. They continue to give food, water, solar lights, and other donations. You can still send donations thru their pages 👇🏽👇🏽

One of the oldest ways that humanity used to catch fish. Early civilizations used sharpened sticks for spearfishing and these were one of the first spears.
From the simple spears (pointed sticks, sticks with barbed metal points and tridents), developed different types of spears. “Gigs” are one of these and they are multi-pronged spears. They are used for fish but also for frogs. Before modern spears appeared, people spearfished in shallow waters. Invention of speargun allowed fishing in deeper waters. Spearguns can be powered with elastic cords or compressed gas and spearfishing with spearguns can be done while free-diving, snorkeling, or scuba diving. Some countries don’t allow spearfishing while using scuba equipment while other don’t allow use of mechanically powered spearguns at all.
