Today, and every day, we honor the heart of every home — our mothers. Through the gentle yet powerful touch of a mother’s hands, light is passed down, illuminating lives with love and guidance.

Sa mga palad na pinanday ng panahon, ang di-mabilang na araw ng pag-aalaga, at sa bawat bakás at kalyo, naroon ang kwento ng lakas at walang kapantay na pagmamahal mga katatagang hindi humihinto, kahit sa paglipas ng edad.

𝐏𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚’𝐲 𝐃𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐭 🌊🌅
Did you know that aside from Labor Day, May 1st is also celebrated in Pangasinan as "Pista’y Dayat", a day that honors the community’s deep connection to the ocean?

Known for its stunning coastal towns, Pangasinan has long lived in rhythm with the sea.
“It’s not just part of the view; it’s part of who we are.” ✨

In these towns, people grow up witnessing the hard work that sustains everyday life, especially among those who rely on the ocean for a living. Families often help one another as they welcome their loved ones back from the sea, hauling in the day’s catch. Children and elders excitedly gather nearby, curious to see what the waves of blessings have brought.

The province is known for its rich aqua-agriculture, famous for its fresh fish, dried seafood, and especially salt production, from which the name PangASINan is derived. 💛 This long-standing tradition remains a proud symbol of the local way of life.

For some, the beach is a place to relax and unwind. But for many locals, it’s where daily life unfolds. Behind the beauty of the shoreline is a deeper story of labor, heritage, and community. It's what connects us and makes our identity.

Pista’y Dayat is more than just a festival, it’s a celebration of the roots, resilience, and the vibrant spirit of the Pangasinense people.

"WALA YAN TONGTONG KO" ✨🍀
[I Have a Story to Tell]

This February, we celebrate Arts Month with the exhibit "WALA YAN TONGTONG KO" at The Provincial Museum of Banaan, Lingayen, Pangasinan. The exhibit consists of artists showcasing the art of storytelling through various pieces, each reflecting the diverse perspectives of life in Pangasinan, with the purpose of connecting communities, expressing identity, and preserving the province’s heritage and culture.🌾The event was made possible through the creative minds of A Salty Project, and the support of Pangasinan Tourism, and Banaan Museum.

I am truly grateful for the opportunity to share my project, Aro, and to have met fellow inspiring artists who fuel my passion for storytelling. A huge thank you to Sir Gino Tioseco and Ms. Ai Ca for inviting me to be a part of this beautiful show.

The art exhibit will run from February 17 to May 17, 2025,

A Salty Project Celebrates Year 2✨

An art show featuring Pangasinan artists from across the province, showcasing their works under the theme “A Celebration of Life.” This exhibit presents a diverse perspective through various mediums. With the support of Nepo Mall Dagupan, this space allows creativity to grow, enabling artists to interact and connect with local creatives. 🌅

Showing such gratitude to be part of this community and for more projects in the future. A special thank you to Sir Gino Tioseco, Sir Pipo Domagas and Ms. Ai Ca for making this event possible.

The Donong Art Exhibit is open for viewing from August 24 to September 20, 2024. 🌱
