Scriptures remind us that God comes to us in unexpected ways and at unexpected times. We must walk in faith and not in fear. Even in a quiet still voice, Jesus challenges us to not be afraid.

Sometimes when we travel on the storms of life, we wonder if God is with us or if God hears us. At the moment we need God the most, Jesus stretches out his hands and bring us to safety.

God wants to restore our peace. We must step out on faith and know that he will never leave us nor abandon us. Just as he worked the miracle of the bread and the fish, God wants to work a miracle in our lives. Jesus reminds us, โ€œhave Courage! Do not be afraid, it is I.โ€

GOD knows what is best for us and nothing will separate us from the love of GOD poured out in Jesus.

We are not alone any longer. The resurrection of Jesus proves that. When Jesus said before his ascension, โ€œI am with you always, to the end of timeโ€ฆโ€ we can be certain that this is what God whispers to us each moment of each dayโ€ฆ..to the end of time.

O Virgin Immaculate, Mother of God and my Mother, from your sublime heights turn your eyes of pity on my. Filled with confidence in your goodness and knowing full well your power, I beg you to extend to me your assistance in the journey of life, which is so full of dangers for my soul. In order that I may never be a slave of the devil through sin, but may ever live with my heart humble and pure, I entrust myself wholly to you. I consecrate my heart to you forever, my only desire being to love your divine Son, Jesus. Mary, none of your devout servants has ever perished; may I, too, be saved. Amen.

This Sundayโ€™s Gospel compares the Kingdom of God with a person who finds a hidden treasure on a piece of property. We have many valued treasures in our lives, but our faith is our ultimate treasure, โ€œThe Pearl of great price,โ€ because it helps us focus on God and the blessings we receive day to day.

The parables of Jesus often surprise us and go beyond our expectations of who Jesus is and of what God expects of us. Jesus wants to lead us to the Kingdom of God, where we will find our true treasure. We are reminded that the kingdom of heaven means everything.

Every day we are called to choose the things that will last instead of the passing things of this world like pleasure, power, and popularity. The one treasure that we seek is the love of God that comes through Jesus Christ. Let us treasure the goodness that God has shown us, and in every action, let us be the image of God in our world.

Let us seek first the kingdom of God and the treasure he sends us in Jesus Christ our Lord. Throughout our lives as Christians, we find strength in asking, "What treasures does God continue to put in our lives?"

Grant, we beseech Thee, that while meditating on these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that we may both imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through Christ our Lord. Amen.

God's patience should never lead us to complacency. Every invitation He gives us is an expression of His love, and every passing day is another opportunity to choose Him. None of us knows when our earthly journey will end or when we will stand before His judgment seat.

Every day we are choosing what kind of seed we will become. We are either helping the Kingdom grow through acts of charity, mercy, and faithfulness, or allowing selfishness, resentment, and indifference to take root. Rest is important, but it should renew us for our mission, not distract us from it.
