A little reminder that nurses deserve to be celebrated, too. And not just for the things they do, but for everything that comes with being one.
MHARSMC Nurses Week 2026. A week filled with learning, friendly competition, shared prayers, a little well-deserved pampering, and, most importantly, time spent appreciating the people who spend so much of theirs looking after others.
We kicked things off with two days of Nurses Training. A good reminder that there's always something new to learn in a profession where being prepared, knowledgeable, and competent can make all the difference.
Day 3 brought us together for the MHARSMC Chapel Mass, followed by an afternoon of friendly competition at the Quiz Bowl. A little test of knowledge, a little pressure, and perhaps a reminder that there's more to nursing than what we already know.
Then came Pamper Day. From our midwives and nursing attendants in the morning to our nurses in the afternoon, it was finally time to slow down and let someone else do the looking after. Quite deserved, actually.
And honestly, it's nice to have a week dedicated to celebrating these moments. Because behind every shift, every patient encounter, every sleepless night, and every difficult decision are people who have chosen a profession that asks so much of them.
Nursing isn't always pretty or easy. There are long hours, difficult days, missed moments, and sacrifices that don't always make it into the stories people hear. But there is also purpose in showing up, compassion in the smallest gestures, and the kind of commitment that reminds us why this profession matters.
At the heart of it all is an oath a promise to care, to protect, to preserve life, and to do what we can for those who need us most. Not just when it's convenient, not just when it's easy, but especially when someone is at their most vulnerable.
And while we celebrate the profession, let's not forget the people behind the uniforms. They deserve the same patience, care, and compassion they so willingly give to others.
Quite a week for our healthcare heroes, actually.
And we're not done just yet. Assembly Day is still to come.
Happy Nurses Week 2026 to all our nurses, midwives, nursing attendants, and everyone who makes caring for others their everyday commitment.
Here's to the people who care for people. May we never run out of reasons to appreciate them.

A few seconds of footage, but quite a lot happening in that frame.

A little moment from Francine's debut, watching video greetings from friends in Manila who couldn't be there in person.

Funny how a simple reaction can say more than a perfectly directed shot ever could.

What makes this clip even more special for me is that it wasn't something I originally planned to shoot. It was a spontaneous decision, one of those moments when, as a photographer, you instinctively recognize that something worth preserving is unfolding right in front of you. I picked up my camera, shot this handheld, and simply let the moment happen.

No elaborate setup, no direction, no retakes. Just a genuine reaction unfolding naturally.

This is also where the Sirui 85mm earns its keep. Beautiful compression, pleasing subject separation, and enough working distance to capture genuine moments without having to get in the middle of them.

Quite pleased with this one, actually.

A little reminder that event coverage isn't just about documenting the celebration. It's about preserving the feelings in between.

When we started documenting events, we learned to make the most of what was available to us. Natural light, existing venue lights, and whatever the situation allowed. Eventually, we decided to let go of our lighting equipment and explore a more natural, light-driven approach. It taught us to adapt, work with what we had, and see things differently.

Over time, we’ve grown, learned, and explored different ways of creating images. Now, we’re slowly bringing lighting back into our workflow, not to complicate things, but to give us more control, work more efficiently, and deliver images that feel more intentional, punchier, and refined.

At the end of the day, it’s about giving our clients the quality they deserve and making sure every image is worth the trust and investment they put in us.

And through every season of growth, we’re reminded that everything we have is by God’s grace. May we continue to use these tools, our experience, and the talents entrusted to us to serve others well and glorify His name.

A small upgrade, a meaningful step forward. All by grace, all for His glory. 🤍

Last year, we met at sunset. This year, the story takes on a different light.

MedTech Night 2025, Meet Me at Sunset, marked a chapter for a batch that has now moved beyond university life and into the realities of the profession. The sunset has passed, and for them, a new day has begun. It's a little surreal to look back and realize how quickly things change, and how the photographs we took then have become pieces of a chapter they'll always carry with them.

Now for 2026, a new MedTech Night comes with its own character, its own story, and a whole new atmosphere to capture. This time, the scene shifts to Hollywood, a night of red carpet glamour, sharp silhouettes, camera flashes, and looks that deserve their own moment in the spotlight. Think silver screen elegance, a touch of old Hollywood, and the kind of entrance that makes you want to keep your camera ready.

But beyond the glitz and the gala, some things remain the same. The laughter, the friendships, the familiar faces, and the camaraderie that make being a MedTech student more than just the lectures, laboratory sessions, and sleepless nights. Different theme, different batch, different memories, but the same spirit that brings everyone together.

For us at TEAM Vanilla, every year brings a different challenge and another opportunity to grow. We get to approach a familiar community with fresh eyes, find new ways to tell its story, and document moments that may seem ordinary tonight but will mean so much more when everyone looks back years from now. No two events unfold the same way, and that's what keeps the work exciting. You can prepare for the lights, the portraits, and the grand entrances, but there's always something unexpected happening just outside the frame.

And as the lights come on and the cameras start rolling, we're ready to embrace whatever this new chapter has in store, the glamour, the chaos, the candid moments, and everything in between.

Because every batch deserves its own story, every year brings a different kind of magic, and every frame gives us another reason to remember.

Six years old and ready for a whole new adventure! 🎉 And what better way to celebrate than with a little McDonald’s fun, a Toy Story inspired cake, and the people who make every birthday extra special? ❤️

Vito’s 6th birthday was all about keeping things simple, fun, and full of love. No big, grand celebration needed, just a cozy little gathering at McDonald’s with family, his friends, and his parents’ closest friends, all coming together to celebrate our birthday boy. 🥹💛 With Woody, Buzz, and the whole Toy Story gang joining the fun through his birthday cake, it was a little celebration packed with big smiles, happy moments, and memories worth keeping!

And honestly, sometimes it’s these intimate celebrations that make the sweetest memories. Just good company, genuine laughter, little moments of happiness, and a birthday boy enjoying his special day surrounded by people who are happy to celebrate him. 🥰

And just like that, our little racer is ONE! 🏎️💨
From sweet little giggles to a whole lot of birthday fun, Braeden Ezra’s first birthday was one for the books! With a Cars-themed celebration filled with racing vibes, familiar characters, and so much love, his special day felt like stepping into a little world of adventure. ❤️
The birthday boy was, of course, the star of the show! From the adorable details that brought the Cars theme to life to the smiles, laughter, and precious moments shared with family and friends, every part of the celebration made this milestone even more special.
