Connecting the Spring Resort Capital to the Mango Capital of Zambales.

A new Calamba–Iba, Zambales route has been launched through a partnership between HM Transport and Victory Liner, providing a direct connection between Southern Luzon and Zambales via Olongapo. The collaboration involves Victory Liner providing buses and access to its terminals for the operation.

The route offers both Inner Cities and Express services, with the Express trips using SCTEX for a faster journey. This also gives passengers from Laguna a more direct option going to Zambales without having to travel through Metro Manila.

1 out of 2 EV bus of Victory Liner, spotted here in Olongapo. Originally deployed for the Cubao–San Fernando route, this unit is equipped with a 485 kWh battery with a reported range of around 350–400 km. Due to the current fuel crisis, baka kaya hanggang Olongapo na rin ito binyahe, and at the same time, nasubukan na rin nito yung potential ng EV bus nila on an extended route.

With the current situation na tumataas na ang presyo ng diesel, possible kaya na magdagdag pa sila ng electric buses for their provincial routes? Maybe this trip to Olongapo is also a good way to test how their EV buses perform on longer routes.

Jetliners from the Manila-Isabela line. Lately, parang madalas ko na ata silang nakikita dito sa Olongapo, and I’ve been wondering kung special permit lang ba sila or na-transfer na sila sa Zambales. What do you guys think?
