It is quite awful and heartbreaking to learn that a 6-month-old infant died in the Philippines from heatstroke in the sweltering heat. It serves as a sobering reminder of the risks that severe weather can bring, particularly to the most defenseless members of society, such small children. This tragic incident highlights how urgently we need to raise awareness and implement preventative measures to shield kids from the potentially lethal risks associated with high temperatures. We send our condolences to the family during this deeply trying time, and it is a tragic reminder to everyone to take additional care to protect the safety of all children in similar circumstances.
