๐Ÿœ๐ŸŸ ๐’น๐’ถ๐“Ž๐“ˆ.

Forty-seven days of sacrifice, resilience, and unwavering determination. Every challenge faced, every lesson learned, and every obstacle overcame has led to this very moment.

What once began as a dream shared by aspiring midshipmen from all corners of the country has now become a reality. Through the trials of the Indoctrination and Orientation Period, ๐‚๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽ proved that perseverance is not just about enduring hardships, itโ€™s about refusing to stop until the goal is reached, rising with a spirit like the ceiling canโ€™t hold them down.

Today marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another. No longer Probationary Midshipmen, they now stand proudly as ๐Ÿ’๐‚๐‹ ๐Œ๐ข๐๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ฉ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง, ready to take on the journey that lies ahead.

The battle to earn this moment may be over, but the voyage has only just begun. Hereโ€™s to new challenges, greater responsibilities, and the pursuit of becoming world-class merchant marine officers.

Some moments are remembered not because they last a lifetime, but because they change one forever.

On July 3, 2026, the Class of 2030 crossed the deep blue gates of the academy from hopeful aspirants to proud members of the Midshipmen Fleet during the Incorporation Ceremony at the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific. It is the day they will finally take their first step in becoming maritime professionals.

There were sacrifices made. Behind every salute was countless hours of perseverance, uncertainty, and determination. The challenges of the Indoctrination and Orientation Program tested not only their strength, but also their resolve, reminding them that true leadership begins with character long before command.

As they stood united, they accepted more than their place within the Academy. They embraced a calling, to live by Virtus, Fides, et Disciplina: Competence, Loyalty, and Discipline. These are more than words etched into the Academy's identity; they are promises that will shape every decision, every challenge, and every voyage that lies ahead.
The cheers may have faded, and the ceremony may have ended, but the meaning of this day will endure.

It is the day dreams found direction, strangers became steadfast companions, and a class took its first step toward a future defined by service, honor, and excellence.

Calibre meets competence. On June 27, 2026, MAAP was invited to take part in a fun shoot hosted by the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA), bringing together cadets from various academies across the country to strengthen and enhance their marksmanship skills.

More than a test of accuracy, the event challenged participants to remain focused, composed, and disciplined under pressure. Through every round fired and every target engaged, cadets developed not only their proficiency in marksmanship but also sharpened their decision-making, situational awareness, and sense of urgencyโ€”qualities essential for future leaders in uniform.

MAAP extends its gratitude to the PNPA for the invitation and for organizing an event that fostered camaraderie, healthy competition, and professional growth among the nation's future public safety and maritime officers.

June 3, 2026. Two hundred cadets walked the parade grounds not beneath clear skies, but through relentless downpourโ€”and in that moment, the rain became more than weather. It became a metaphor for the maritime world that awaits them: unpredictable, unforgiving, yet navigable by those with discipline and unwavering resolve. The ZEPHYREONS, the Zealous Phoenicians of the Relentless Unyielding Oceans, proved they are ready.
The ceremony marked not an ending, but a transformation. From midshipmen to maritime officers, these graduates now carry forward the sacred values embedded within these academy wallsโ€”virtue, fidelity, and disciplineโ€”as they assume command of their own destinies at sea. Their achievements span far beyond a single day: perfect academic records, exemplary leadership, and the bonds forged through years of rigorous training. They leave not as individuals, but as a cohort bound by shared purpose and maritime excellence.
The MAAP closes this chapter with profound confidence in what lies ahead. The Class of 2026 does not graduate into an uncertain futureโ€”they graduate into their calling. The oceans await their service, and the maritime world is ready to receive what this institution has cultivated: officers of integrity, professionals of distinction, leaders of character.

Today, the journey comes full circle.

For 1CL ANGULO, graduation is more than the completion of academic requirements, military training, and shipboard experience. It is the realization that the Academy prepared him for something far greater than a profession.

Over the years, the Academy became a place where lessons extended beyond classrooms, formations, and regulations. It became a place that shaped character, strengthened values, and instilled a sense of purpose that reaches far beyond the maritime industry. The experiences gained here taught him not only how to become a competent maritime professional, but also how to become a better son, a dependable brother, a responsible leader, and someday, a caring parent.

As Fleet Commander, he learned that leadership is not defined by position alone. It is reflected in how one serves others, carries responsibility, and upholds the values entrusted to them. These lessons, built through years of sacrifice, discipline, and perseverance, are the true achievements that he carries beyond the academy gates.

Today marks the end of one chapter, but also the beginning of another.

And while the uniforms may change and new horizons await, the values forged within these walls will remain constant, serving as a compass through every challenge, every decision, and every voyage ahead.

For that, he remains grateful.

Not only for the profession the Academy prepared him for,
but for the life it prepared him to live.

Congratulations, Fleet Commander.
Congratulations Zephyreons Class of 2026.

Fair winds, clear skies and following seas.
