Our Filipino nurses are the backbone of our healthcare system, but passion alone cannot sustain them. They need urgent government and institutional support. ๐ต๐ญ๐ฉบ
This study confirms that a nurse's enthusiasm to work hard is the ultimate driver for them to stay. To protect their well-being and stop the brain drain, the Philippine government and healthcare leaders must act now:
-Fund mental health and institutional wellness programs.
-Guarantee decent work conditions and fair recognition systems.
-Invest in supportive environments that prioritize those who care for us.
Supporting our nurses directly advances SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-Being) and SDG 8 (Decent Work). It is time for the government to move from praise to policy. Protect our nurses, protect our nation! ๐ฅ๐

The Editorial Board of IJROMS extends its sincere appreciation and congratulations to the authors for this significant scholarly contribution. This study examined the influence of psychological well-being and organizational commitment on the intention to stay among staff nurses at Bukidnon Provincial HospitalโMaramag using a descriptive-correlational research design.
Findings revealed that psychological well-being, organizational commitment, and intention to stay were all at high levels among respondents. Correlation analysis indicated that most variables were significantly related to nursesโ intention to stay, highlighting the importance of workplace and psychological factors in retention.
Moreover, multiple regression analysis identified enthusiasm to work hard as the only significant predictor of intention to stay, emphasizing that motivation and engagement are critical drivers of nurse retention. The study underscores the need for healthcare institutions to implement wellness programs, recognition systems, and supportive work environments to sustain a committed nursing workforce.
In alignment with SDG 3, the study promotes healthcare workforce well-being and sustainability through evidence-based insights into nurse retention.
In support of SDG 8, the research contributes to fostering productive employment and decent work conditions by emphasizing organizational commitment, motivation, and supportive workplace environments.
