🇵🇭🇷🇺 A SIGN OF OUR NEXT PRESIDENTIAL AIRCRAFT? For the first time, a bona fide medium-sized VIP aircraft flew a sitting President of the Republic of the Philippines on an official mission! President Marcos Jr arrived in Russia for the ASEAN-Russia Commemorative Summit onboard an Airbus A319 Corporate Jet chartered from UAE-based Rotana Jet.

This marks a big change from the usual chartered aircraft from Philippine Airlines or Gulfstreams of the Air Force. I wonder if the flight crew were Filipino …

🇵🇭🇩🇪 LUFTWAFFE OVER THE SKIES OF MANILA | German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his delegation arrived in the Philippines late evening of June 15, 2026, making history as the first German head of state to visit the Pearl of the Orient since 1963.

Utilizing the Airbus A350 XWB 10-02 of the Luftwaffe, German Air Force flight 922 landed in Manila a few minutes before 11 in the evening from Jakarta's Halim Perdanakusuma International Airport. The Airbus A350 is the German Air Force's prime, long range VIP transport aircraft and replaced the older Airbus A340 they previously used.

A notable point on his itinerary is his visit to the aircraft maintenance facility Lufthansa Technik Philippines, one of the leading aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) provider in the Asia Pacific.

Great seeing the Luftwaffe here in the Philippines again. From my younger years of covering their arrival with the A340 to today, the German Air Force has always been punctual - arriving on schedule, on the dot. Oh, and check out that German flag on the winglet! Never noticed it until now.

🇵🇭🇵🇭 Philippine Airlines flight PR116 to Vancouver, ready for takeoff from Manila's runway 06. Operated by the 12-year old Boeing 777-300ER registered as RP-C7784, the flight is PAL's daily service to VanCity - a route the airline monopolized for a long time until Air Canada came into play.

RP-C7784 is one of two ex-Garuda Indonesia triple sevens operated by the Filipino flag carrier. These two newcomers are also the most densely configured aircraft in PAL's fleet, with 393 seats in its cabin.

NGUNIT anumang oras ay may posibilidad na bawiin ang NOTAM na ito. Mainam na makipag-ugnayan sa airline na gagamitin para sa pinaka-bagong updates tungkol sa flight schedules.

KASABAY NITO, idineklara rin ng CAAP sa isang NOTAM ngayong araw na ang airspace ng General Santos International Airport ay downgraded bilang “CLASS G” o UNCONTROLLED. Ibig sabihin, wala munang air traffic control services na available sa nasabing paliparan.

Tambler International Airport in General Santos City appears to have suffered terminal structure damage after the magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck the region earlier today.

An Airbus A321 of Cebu Pacific Air was on the ground when the earthquake struck.

🇵🇭 Philippine Airlines flight PR126, non-stop Airbus A350 service to New York - Kennedy Airport, cuts through the darkness as she begins her ultra long-haul flight. Operated by the Airbus A350-1000, this flight is one of PAL's flagship route and is often operated by the best and newest aircraft the Filipino flag carrier has to offer.

And a huge congratulations to PAL as they begin the process of joining the US-based global airline alliance Oneworld. The road is long, but at least the ball is now rolling. Can't wait for the onboarding completion one or two years away to see which aircraft will be the oneworld logo jet. Philippine Airlines joins partner Japan Airlines, Qatar Airways, American Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Cathay Pacific, and 11 others in the alliance.

I wonder what will happen to Star Alliance's All Nippon Airways stake in Philippine Airlines though. As of writing, ANA still has a 4.11% stake in the company ....

🇦🇿🇵🇭 Silk Way West Airlines was once again spotted in Manila, this time with 4K-SW800 operating flight AZG8321 from Dubai World City airport. The Azerbaijani Queen of the Skies was on the ground in Manila for a few hours before departing back to Baku on the same day.

One of the "regular" visitors of Manila, Silk Way West has sent all of their equipment type to the Philippine capital - from the Boeing 777 to the Boeing 747-400F and the 747-8F.

This visit of 4K-SW800 was even more special as the 747 they used is powered by the even rarer Rolls-Royce RB211 variant.

Kinda hoping for a better arrival slot for these special flights though ... Plane spotting at 2AM ain't that appealing anymore 🤣🤣
