Oslob, Sanctuary of Giants

Another Official Selection at the 2026 International Photography Awards (IPA).

Photographed from above the turquoise waters of Oslob, Cebu, this scene captures whale sharks moving among traditional outrigger boats and swimmers—showing both their incredible scale and the unique relationship between people and these gentle giants.

Happy to see this image recognized by IPA this year.

Thank you, International Photography Awards!

Night Court Glow

Happy to share that Night Court Glow has been named an Official Selection at the 2026 International Photography Awards (IPA).

This photograph was captured from above, where a lone illuminated tennis court glows like an ember amid the surrounding urban landscape.

The image has had quite a journey. It previously won 4th Place and the PiPho’s Choice Award in PiPho’s October 2025 Monthly Photo Contest, “Elevated Perspectives.” It was also included in Zone V Camera Club’s exhibit at the recently concluded Graphic Expo.

From a local competition and exhibition to an IPA Official Selection—happy to see this photograph continue its journey.

Thank you International Photography Awards, Pinoy Photography, and Zone V Camera Club for the recognition and opportunities. 📷🏆

Silence Beneath the Cross

Another photograph from my return to San Pedro Cutud after more than two decades has made the Official Selection of the 2026 International Photography Awards (IPA).

A quiet moment at the end of a flagellant’s penitential journey—alone beneath the cross, carrying the weight of faith, sacrifice, and exhaustion.

A different version of this photograph also made it to the Top 10 of Pinoy Photography’s 2nd On-the-Spot Photo Contest (OTS) earlier this year.

Thank you, International Photography Awards and Pinoy Photography, for the recognition.

For nearly 25 years, I hoped for the chance to photograph the Chocolate Hills the way I imagined them. That opportunity finally came during the blue hour, when the fading light, mist, and quiet atmosphere transformed the landscape into something truly unforgettable. Sometimes the most meaningful photographs are the ones you've waited decades to make.

Happy to share that this same photograph also made the Top 20 in Pinoy Photography’s Monthly Photo Contest last June.

Thank you International Photography Awards and Pinoy Photography!

Beneath the Hill of the Buddha has been named an Official Selection at the 2026 International Photography Awards.

Designed by renowned architect Tadao Ando, the Hill of the Buddha in Sapporo is a place where architecture, light, and spirituality come together. This two-image black-and-white series follows the journey from a dark concrete passage toward the quiet revelation of the monumental Buddha beneath the open sky.

The second image in this series—the Buddha framed against the dramatic sky—was also exhibited at Pinoy Photography's recent exhibit during Graphic Expo, making this recognition even more meaningful.

I wanted these photographs to convey not only the beauty of the architecture, but also the sense of silence, scale, and contemplation that makes this place unforgettable.

Thank you to the International Photography Awards for this recognition, and to Pinoy Photography for the opportunity to share my work with the public. Thank you as well to everyone who continues to support my photographic journey.

"Back-to-Back, Team Asia at the Reyes Cup" has been named an Official Selection at the 2026 International Photography Awards.

This is a special one for me—not only because it's my first-ever sports photography entry at the IPA, but because it tells the story of a team brought together by a common goal.

From the quiet moments before the break, to the guidance of Coach Francisco "Django" Bustamante, the rise of young MVP AJ Manas, and the celebration of another Reyes Cup title, I wanted this series to capture more than just the game. It is a story of teamwork, mentorship, determination, and pride across Asia.

Thank you to the International Photography Awards for the recognition, and congratulations once again to Team Asia on an unforgettable championship. Here's to many more stories waiting to be told through sports photography. 📷🏆

It's truly rewarding to see "The Silence of Medicine Lake" earn an Official Selection at the 2026 International Photography Awards.

This panorama holds a special place in my journey. It was only my second attempt at panoramic photography, and after revisiting the image with a more refined post-processing approach, it found new life. It's a reminder that sometimes our best photographs aren't just made in the field—they're also shaped by what we learn long after pressing the shutter.

Thank you to the International Photography Awards for this recognition, and congratulations to all the talented photographers recognized this year.

It means a lot to have "Mount Edith Cavell, Where Winter Waits" recognized as an Official Selection at the 2026 International Photography Awards.

This photograph is especially meaningful to me as it was my first attempt at creating a panoramic image. Standing before the majestic Mount Edith Cavell, I wanted to capture the quiet beauty of winter and the timeless grandeur of the Canadian Rockies in a single frame.

Thank you, International Photography Awards, for this recognition. 📷❄️

I'm grateful that Silent Warehouses of Otaru has been named an Official Selection at the 2026 International Photography Awards (IPA).

This photograph was taken during my visit to the historic Otaru Canal in Hokkaido, Japan. I was drawn to the quiet atmosphere and timeless character of the old warehouses, which inspired the title.

A selective color version of this image was also exhibited at Pinoy Photography's booth during the recently concluded Graphic Expo.

Thank you to the International Photography Awards for this recognition, and to Pinoy Photography for the opportunity to showcase my work. I'm also grateful to everyone who continues to support my photography journey.

I've always wanted to photograph the Cebu–Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX), and early this year I finally had the opportunity to do so.

I'm grateful that Stillness Across CCLEX has been named an Official Selection at the 2026 International Photography Awards (IPA).

Captured at sunrise, this image reflects the quiet beauty of one of the country's most iconic bridges before the day comes alive. Moments like these remind me that patience, planning, and a little bit of luck can come together to create something meaningful.

My sincere thanks to the International Photography Awards for this recognition, and to everyone who continues to support my photography journey. Here's to chasing more light, more stories, and more unforgettable moments.
