Cebu Pacific to Launch Nagoya, Shanghai Flights from Cebu
Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines’ leading carrier, is ramping up its network and capacity from Cebu as it launches direct flights to two new international destinations—Nagoya, Japan, and Shanghai, China—connecting travelers from Central Visayas to more destinations across Asia.
Starting November 19, 2026, CEB will operate flights between Cebu and Nagoya 4x weekly, every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Nagoya, the largest city in central Japan, is the third destination in the country that can be reached directly from Cebu via CEB, after Tokyo-Narita and Osaka. CEB is also the only airline that offers direct flights between Cebu and Nagoya.
Meanwhile, 3x weekly flights from Cebu to Shanghai will begin on November 17, 2026, scheduled on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Shanghai to Cebu flights will also operate 3x weekly every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday beginning November 18, 2026.
“At Cebu Pacific, we continue to strengthen our network to give every Juan more opportunities to explore exciting destinations across Asia. The launch of our Cebu-Nagoya and Cebu-Shanghai services not only provides travelers in the Visayas with more convenient access to these vibrant cities, but also reinforces Cebu's role as a growing gateway for international travel. As we continue to expand our regional network, we remain committed to making travel more accessible and affordable for every Juan,” said Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific President and Chief Commercial Officer.
With direct flights from Cebu, travelers can now conveniently explore Nagoya’s rich cultural heritage and modern city life. From the iconic Nagoya Castle and Atsuta Jingu Shrine to its renowned food scene, the city also serves as a gateway to Central Japan's scenic destinations, including Takayama and Shirakawa-go.
Cebu travelers can also discover Shanghai’s vibrant metropolis known for its blend of historic charm and contemporary attractions. Visitors can stroll along the Bund, explore the former French Concession, shop on Nanjing Road, or use the city as a jump-off point to nearby destinations such as Suzhou and Hangzhou.
Aside from the new destinations, CEB is also restoring its direct flights between Cebu and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam, with 3x weekly flights operating every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday beginning October 26, 2026.
The airline will also increase flight frequencies between Cebu and Bangkok-Don Mueang to 7x weekly starting October 27, 2026 from its current 4x weekly schedule.
To encourage travel, CEB is rolling out a special seat sale from August 7 to 11, 2026 allowing passengers to book their flights for Cebu-Nagoya, Cebu-Shanghai, and Cebu-Ho Chi Minh for as low as PHP 1 one-way base fare, exclusive of surcharges and other fees, with a travel period starting from their launch dates until March 31, 2027.
