How early is too early to book your maternity portrait session?

The answer surprises many expecting parents—it's often sooner than you think.

Planning your dream maternity photography session isn't simply about reserving a date. It's about giving yourself the freedom to create something truly personal.

When you book early, you have time for:
• Choosing your preferred session date
• Wardrobe planning and styling
• A personalized consultation
• Planning heirloom artwork for your home

The most meaningful portraits are never rushed. They're thoughtfully planned, beautifully crafted, and created with intention.

We are now accepting reservations for mothers with August through November due dates. Booking early gives you the greatest flexibility in choosing your preferred session date and allows us to thoughtfully plan every detail of your portrait experience.

If you'd like to begin planning your maternity portrait session, we'd love to hear from you.

One week can make a surprising difference in newborn photography.

Many expecting parents are surprised to learn that newborn portraits aren't planned around a baby's age in months—they're planned around days.

The ideal time for a newborn session is when your baby is between 7 and 12 days old. During this stage, babies are generally sleepier, naturally curled, and most comfortable in the classic newborn poses that many parents envision. As they continue to grow, they become more alert, stretch out more, and spend longer periods awake.

Neither stage is better—they simply create different portraits.

My role is to help parents understand what to expect, so they can make informed decisions and choose the experience that's right for their family.

That's why I recommend reserving your newborn photography session during pregnancy. Planning ahead gives us the best opportunity to photograph your baby during this brief stage, while allowing you to focus on your recovery and getting to know your little one—not on arranging a photoshoot after birth.

If you're expecting, consider reserving your newborn session during pregnancy so everything is already in place before your baby arrives.

Something beauti ful has been quietly taking shape behind the scenes.

Months of planning, refining, and dreaming have led to what I hope will become one of my favorite Christmas Portrait Experiences yet.

For now... this is all I'm sharing.

Stay close. 🤍

The portraits parents ask for are rarely the ones they end up loving most.

When parents inquire about a newborn session, the focus is almost always on their baby.

And understandably so.

But after their gallery is delivered, many tell me the same thing:

"I didn't expect our family portraits to become my favorites."

It's easy to think of newborn photography as creating beautiful portraits of your baby. In reality, it's also the first time your family is professionally photographed together.

Your baby's tiny features will change in a matter of weeks. Before long, those sleepy cuddles, the way they fit perfectly in your arms, and the expressions you shared during those first days will become memories.

That's why I always encourage parents to step into the frame.

Not because every newborn gallery needs family portraits, but because years from now, these are often the photographs that mean the most—not only to you, but to your child.

A thoughtfully planned newborn photography session preserves more than how your baby looked. It documents the beginning of your family's story with care, intention, and artistry.

If you're expecting and looking for a newborn photographer in Metro Manila, the best time to reserve your session is during your third trimester so we can photograph your baby during those precious first weeks.

I'd love to help you create portraits your family will treasure for generations.

What image do you think you'll cherish most years from now—the baby-only portraits or the ones where you're holding your little one?

"I thought I should wait until my belly got bigger before booking my maternity session."

It's one of the most common things I hear from expectant moms.

The truth is, the ideal time for maternity portraits is usually between 26 and 30 weeks.

By then, your baby bump has a beautiful, defined shape, and most moms are still comfortable enough to move naturally through a variety of poses.

A bigger bump doesn't always mean better portraits.

As pregnancy progresses, many moms simply become less comfortable, making certain poses more difficult and the session more tiring than it needs to be.

That's why timing matters.

Professional maternity photography is built around thoughtful direction.
The way you stand.
The angle of your shoulders.
Where your hands naturally rest.
How light sculpts and shapes your silhouette.
The wardrobe you wear.

These details work together to create portraits that feel elegant, refined, and natural—not because your body is "perfect," but because every element is intentionally guided.

If you're looking for luxury maternity photography in Metro Manila, my Mandaluyong studio specializes in fine art maternity portraits that celebrate this extraordinary season of motherhood. Planning ahead gives us the opportunity to photograph you during the stage when most moms feel their most comfortable.

If you're expecting, I'd be honored to create maternity portraits that become a meaningful part of your family's story.

The first days with your baby are filled with new routines, little discoveries, and a love that's difficult to put into words. They can also pass by in a blur—especially when you're learning, adjusting, and soaking in every moment.

That's why I believe your baby's first portraits should be simple, elegant, and centered on what matters most: your little one.

Every newborn session is thoughtfully styled, photographed with safety as the priority, and crafted into fine art that will become part of your family's story for generations.

If you're expecting, the ideal time to reserve your newborn photography session is during your second or third trimester. This allows me to reserve space around your due date so we can photograph your baby during those precious early days.

There is nothing wrong with filling your phone with hundreds of photos of your baby.

In fact, you should.

Those spontaneous moments—the sleepy stretches, tiny yawns, and familiar expressions—deserve to be documented.

But professional newborn photography serves a different purpose.

A fine art newborn portrait is created with intention. Every detail, from your baby's position to the lighting, hand-knitted textures, and careful finishing, is thoughtfully considered to create a portrait worthy of being displayed in your home.

Phone photos document everyday life.

A professionally crafted portrait becomes part of your family's history.

Years from now, when today's phones have long been replaced, these are the portraits your child will grow up seeing on your walls and in your family albums.
For many parents, that's when the difference becomes clear.

If you're expecting, the best time to reserve your newborn photography session is during pregnancy. This allows me to reserve space around your due date so we can photograph your baby during those early days.

If you're looking for a newborn photographer who creates minimalist, baby-led portraits with an enduring aesthetic, I'd be happy to send you my Investment Guide and answer any questions.

This maternity portrait was photographed in 2019. It still feels as elegant today as it did then.

One of the questions I hear most often from expectant mothers is:
"What style should I choose for my maternity photos?"
It's a reasonable question. When you're planning your session, you're looking at dozens of gowns, concepts, backdrops, and ideas online. Everything feels appealing in the moment.

But maternity portraits are different from most photographs.

Years from now, you won't be comparing them against what was popular at the time. You'll be looking for a photograph that still feels meaningful.

This portrait was created seven years ago.

The wardrobe is simple. The composition is uncomplicated. Nothing competes for attention.

The focus remains on the connection between a mother and the baby she is waiting to meet.

That's one reason I continue to be drawn to a minimalist approach to fine art maternity photography. When styling is intentionally restrained, your portrait isn't defined by a particular year or trend.

It allows the image to grow with your family rather than stay tied to a moment in social media.

If you're currently deciding what kind of maternity session feels right for you, consider not only what you love today, but what you'll still be proud to display years from now.

Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 26–32 weeks. If you'd like more information, send your due date and I'll recommend the ideal time for your portrait session.
