GINISANG BAGOONG ALAMANG (Sauteed Shrimp Paste). This is an essential ingredient in South East Asian cooking that adds umami goodness to various dishes especially Kare Kare. It is a perfect medley of sweet, savory and spicy flavors. Also a perfect match with Green Mangoes which is in season today.

KARE KARE- It is a Philippine stew that features a savory peanut sauce. It is usually made from a based of stewed oxtail, beef meat and tripe. Vegetables such as eggplant, okra, string beans, pechay are also added. Best served with sauteed shrimp paste.
