I found this adorable friend when I was at my lowest last March, after the sudden passing of my brother. I was sitting alone at the beach, crying, when this sweet island dog came and sat beside me. He stayed with me and even walked with me for a while. 🥺🐶❤️

Sometimes, comfort comes from the most unexpected places. I may not know this dog’s name, but I’ll always remember the little friend who kept me company during one of the hardest moments of my life.

Island dogs are part of Boracay’s charm. They are friendly, loving, and have become part of the island and its tourism experience. 🌴🐕

I sincerely hope our LGU can continue to care for them and create humane programs for stray and island dogs programs focused on rescue, vaccination, spaying/neutering, adoption, and responsible care rather than catching and euthanizing them.

They deserve a chance to live, too. And sometimes, these little souls are the ones who stay beside us when we need someone the most. ❤️🐾
