Mornings with wine poured next to coffee, whiskey before noon, and a deck of cards with Michael and Lauren’s initials on them.

By the time it mattered, it didn’t feel like a beginning, just a continuation, sun sitting over the garden, lilies everywhere, words said direct and left as it was.

Dinner came the same way, nothing heightened, just long tables, ambient light, candles doing their part, tiramisu passed around, conversations stretching, a few tears that came along stories, and the understanding that this was all enough.

A 3 day vacation with a wedding along with their families. It was slow from the beginning. Nothing waiting to be rushed....

A 3 day vacation with a wedding along with their families. It was slow from the beginning. Nothing waiting to be rushed. A small group, their dogs moving around, whiskey poured early, a chess game left open and picked up in between conversations.

The ceremony was short. Vows said simply, but they stayed.

There was still light after. Enough for the sunset before dinner, enough to sit a little longer before everyone gathered again.

It all moved the same way the days did. Uncomplicated.
