Let us hear from Dr. Adel D. Samson as he shares the message and reflections he hopes visitors will carry with them after experiencing his work.
More than photographs, these images are living narratives of identity, survival, culture, and belonging. Each frame carries the breath of stories often unheard and the rhythm of lives shaped by water, movement, and tradition.
These works exist not simply through observation, but through trust, generously shared by the Sama-Bajau community. In honor of that trust, all proceeds from the exhibit are returned to the community through their elders, ensuring that this project remains grounded in respect, reciprocity, and dignity.
