Sunday photography inspiration.

Platon's portraits are simple, bold, and clear - technically it is easy. But the challenging part is the non-technical aspect of the image-making process.

It's amazing he still shoots with film. I love the quality of the Kodak Tri-X film as it reminds me of the pictures I see in the books and magazines of old.

Back when I was starting in photography in college, I was exposed to her work because of my orgmates. I was part of the "educ" team and we were tasked to search and study works of Filipino budding and veteran photographers.

Her work instantly became an inspiration to most of us. Her style of reportage influenced my style of shooting back then when covering campus events. I'm super happy for her!

The International Center of Photography recently awarded Filipino photographer Hannah Reyes Morales its 2020 Infinity Award for Documentary Practice and Visual Journalism.
