Batanes has always been, and will always be, a part of the Philippines.
Recent reports about Chinese scholars claiming that Batanes belongs to China only remind us of the importance of protecting our nation’s sovereignty. Such claims have been firmly rejected by Philippine officials.
Batanes is more than its breathtaking landscapes, it’s home to the proud Ivatan people and an inseparable part of our history, culture, and identity.
