Pastel∞Mix is the (IMHO) Philippines' top J-pop influenced idol based in Davao City. The first time I saw them was in Toycon 2019, they were there with Ambox. Out of all the Ph-based groups, they're the ones with the biggest growth as a brand and as performers, and they've been very consistent as well. In Toycon 2024, they unveiled their first original song TONTON BYOUSHI. I hope to see them again on the next TOYCON PH: The Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention 🙏😌

The group is composed of Thea, Cherry, Kanon, Yui, and Azu.

Since 2023 (actually, I think Toycon did it even before the pandemic), TOYCON PH: The Philippine Toys, Hobbies and Collectibles Convention has been bringing in Japanese idol groups as part of the program. This, to me, is one of their claims to becoming the biggest pop culture event in the Philippines.

Toycon Nexus is no different. This video features the following J-pop idol groups:

Kamen JoshiKamen Joshi (Japan)
Melty Mellow (Japan)
Pastel∞Mix (Philippines)
Suutan (Japan) (yes, I want to consider Suutan as an idol too!)

This video is a showcase of how much fun it is to watch idol performances, as well as a showcase of the otaku who love watching these groups (like me). I hope we see more idols in future Toycon events.

A big high five to Ambox National for bringing these acts to the event as well.
