Edgar โ€œTayboโ€ Calvo Jr., a surfing champ honed by Borongan waves, bested seasoned international surfers to bag the Longboard Qualifying Series championship at the World Surf League (WSL) Siheung Korea Open held in Siheung, South Korea, from July 3 to 5.

Taybo secured the win with a 17.40 heat that concluded the finals, officially naming the Borongan native as this yearโ€™s WSL - Open LQS Korea Champion.
