As I was uploading this set on facebook, frustration came over me many times over the last 3 days because of our crappy internet connection at home. Just when the upload is 90% done and my hopes are already high, it would display the dreaded error prompt, then I have to repeat the tedious process over and over again of re-uploading and re-arranging the pics chronologically. So frustrating!
Frustrating very much like the weather on this wedding of Kaika & Jarrett. It was sunny all through out the morning; looking over from the 7th floor of their ocean wing suite, people were flocking to the beach, snorkelling and basking under the sun. Everybody in the room were ecstatic because after the rainy weather prior, Tuesday turned out to be a promising sunny day. Or so we thought. Because it started to drizzle just in time for the ceremony. It was raining hard but the sun was up, so our couple had to go through a guessing game whether to proceed with the original outdoor reception (which we really hoped!!!) or prepare for Plan B. Kaika & Jarrett decided for Plan B. It was a heartbreaking decision for both but what I love about them was their resiliency to keep calm and carry on. After all, rain or no rain, the most important part of the wedding is when you say your vows and I Do’s in front of God and witnessed by the most special and important people in your lives.
Worrying over things that are beyond our control (like the weather… and internet?? Haha) are useless stress. In the end, the love and warmth from family and friends and the overflowing happiness to be married to the love of your life are the moments that really matter.
Congratulations again Jarrett and Kaika! May your love shine the brightest and may you weather through the storms, with hands holding each other firmly, very much like this on your wedding day.
