Holding Hands Through the Shaking Ground 🤝🤍

In the wake of the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake, gathering together for our LAC Session felt like so much more than a routine meeting—it was a quiet space for us to breathe, process, and lean on one another. As educators, we are expected to be the steady pillars for our students and school community, often setting aside our own fear and exhaustion. But when "Hawak Kamay" played, the anxiety in the room gave way to pure, comforting grace. Hearing everyone sing together brought an overwhelming reminder that while disasters can shake the ground beneath us, they cannot fracture our solidarity.

Teaching through crisis tests your heart in ways no training can prepare you for, but moments like this show the true power of our community. Beyond the damaged classrooms, aftershocks, and daunting work of rebuilding, we are holding each other up every step of the way. We may carry a heavy burden on our shoulders, but we never have to walk this journey alone—hand in hand, we will heal, rebuild, and keep moving forward together.
