By: Robinhood Jevons Martirez
Who is Easter?
- Easter is Ashtaroth (Eostre) the Goddess of Zidonians , the term Easter is an english translation for the name Ashtaroth, were she is the mother of Ba'al (one of the seven prince of hell).
So what is their role in Easter celebration?
- Easter and Ba'al is their supreme Goddess in Pagan religion, where they symbolizes (Life, fertility, sexualism) . And their animal symbolism is rabbit, hares and eggs.
How was a Pagan practices has been associated to Christian Practice?
- In AD316 Constantine was in charge of the known world, he invited 1800 bishops around the world and only around 300 has able to attend also known as "Council of Nicaea", were the different sect of christianity debated and voted on everything, the acceptance and rejection of specific gospels to the date of Easter, to administering the sacrament and all.
And by AD321 constantine has declared Christianity to be the only legal religion. Recognized by the rome. The pagan religion did not simply did go away and vanish to nothing, during the consensus of christianity they simply gave their practices new names. Some of its norms was converted to christian practice.
By means of celebrating Easter day, does it mean we are honoring the existence of Easter? And is their somehow any connection between Easter Celebration to Jesus ressurection?
- the truth and funny fact, Easter is not somehow related to Lord Jesus Christ Day of Ressurection. During the agreement in the council of Nicaea, the celebration of Easter is one of practices that has been canonize and converted to christianity.
Because of Easter and Ba'al Symbolism (Life, fertility, rebirth and ressurection) gives the notion for Christians to be celebrated and instead of worshipping Easter and Ba'al they simply replace it with Jesus, day of ressurection from his tomb.
Eggs symbolism
For Christians, eggs are symbol for Jesus resurection were it illustrates the egg is jesus tomb, the crack is the day were he was been resurrected from being dead and rebirth.
