With up to 10.000 visual elements on their eyes and one of the fastest claws in the animal kingdom, mantis shrimps are a delight for any UW photographer
This one, a pink tail mantis shrimp, tried to punch my camera after this shot. Looking forward, to find a friendly one soon, so I can get one of those portrait shots

Saw my first flamboyant cuttlefish 😍.
This one has been on my bucket list for too long and I finally saw one....
It was a tiny one, 4/5cm (tentacles included) and way too shy to get the shot that I’ve been dreaming of.
But I still got those tentacles spreading out to my camera while changing colour and that’s pretty cool, don’t you think?

Nudibranchs are one of the most photogenic creatures that you can find underwater.
We found this “White Pikachu”, Thecacera picta, hanging around the reef on Dauin’s Marine Sanctuary.
When I began to dive I’ve been told that nudibranchs were a bit like Pokemon’s, you get into them and you want to see them all.

“Big Brain” shrimp.
Every time I cross by an anemone I have a look for some critters, if you’re lucky you’ll find some commensal shrimps. Found this peacock-tail shrimp, while diving the Dauin marine sanctuary last week.

I’ve found you, Nemo!
There are 28 species of aNEMOnefish, this is a false clown anemonefish and as all anemonefish lives in small groups on anemones.
The largest of the group is a female and the next biggest is a male. And when the female dies, the male preforms a s*x change becoming the dominant of the group.

🔙 To Chumphon Pinnacle, where this lionfish swam in front of my camera while I was trying to get shot of a moray eel.
Unfortunately I couldn’t frame it completely as I had my macro lens on, but I love the “batman” style of his wing.
