Before We Show Our Faces
We stood where the sunlight softened,
two shadows dressed in almost-white,
hands finding hands
without asking the camera to remember our eyes.
No faces, only fingers intertwined,
a veil drifting like a secret,
two silhouettes leaning close—
a love story told from every angle
except the one that gives us away.
Let the world wonder
who we are beneath the blur,
who smiles behind the flowers,
who whispers forever
when no one is looking.
These photographs keep us faceless,
but never nameless to each other.
Because love was never in the features—
it was in the way you reached for me,
and I reached back.
