The art of being alone is learning that solitude does not have to feel like loneliness.
You can go out by yourself, eat alone, sit in a café, take yourself somewhere nice, and still have a good time. You don’t always need someone beside you for a moment to be meaningful.
There will be days when you feel left out. Days when everyone seems busy with their own lives and you feel like nobody has time for you. It hurts, especially when you wish someone would simply ask you to come along.
But don’t let other people’s absence stop you from living.
Take yourself out. Buy yourself something you like. Walk around. Read. Take pictures. Sit somewhere peaceful. Make your own little memories.
And learn to enjoy your own company without becoming bitter about being alone.
At the same time, don’t convince yourself that you don’t need anyone. Humans need connection, and wanting companionship is completely normal. Being comfortable alone simply means you don’t have to abandon yourself whenever no one is available.
Sometimes, the best thing you can do is stop waiting for an invitation and give yourself one.
Go. Enjoy your life. Make memories.
You are still worthy of a beautiful life, even when you have to experience some parts of it alone.
