The Cagayan de Oro City JailโMale Dormitory, under the leadership of ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ฃ๐ง ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ข๐ก ๐ ๐ฌ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐, ๐๐ฆ๐C, proudly participated in the โKuyog Ta sa Serbisyo sa Baryoโ program spearheaded by the Local Government Unit of Cagayan de Oro and held at Brgy. Pagatpat, bringing government services closer to the people and fostering stronger community engagement.
Aligned with the flagship programs of Hon. Rolando โKlarexโ A. Uy, this initiative reflects the unwavering commitment of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology to extend compassionate public service, strengthen partnerships with the community, and promote unity beyond the walls of confinement.
A highlight of the activity was the exhibition of the livelihood products crafted by the Persons Deprived of Liberty of the facility. The display captured the interest and admiration of community members, showcasing the creativity, talent, and productivity of the PDL. More than just handcrafted products, these livelihood outputs stand as symbols of hope, rehabilitation, and transformation, demonstrating the positive impact of skills development programs within the jail facility.
Through initiatives such as this, the BJMP continues to bridge the gap between the community and those undergoing rehabilitation, reinforcing its mission of fostering reintegration, empowerment, and inclusive community development.
