𝗖𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲 𝗢𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 — the City of Golden Friendship, the business hub of Mindanao, and one of the country's most progressive metropolitan centers.

Almost four years ago, I left this city as an ordinary photographer, carrying nothing more than my passion for storytelling and the dreams I hoped to pursue. These photographs bring me back to a time when I would often visit these places, capturing moments and creating memories that would later become part of my journey.

Returning here after nearly four years feels deeply emotional. When I left Cagayan de Oro City, I stepped into a new chapter of my life in another city far from here. The years that followed brought many challenges, hardships, and some of the most difficult moments I have ever faced. Because of everything that happened during that time, coming back and seeing these familiar places once again fills me with gratitude and reflection.

What makes this return even more meaningful is seeing how the city has continued to grow. Many places have been renovated and improved, yet the warmth, energy, and spirit of the people remain the same. It is inspiring to see how this city continues to move forward, creating new memories for everyone who calls it home and for those who return after years away.

Back then, S Production did not yet exist. My work simply carried my own name, followed by Photography and Videography. It was a humble beginning fueled by curiosity, creativity, and a dream. Looking back now, I realize how much has changed—not only in the places around me but also within myself.

These photographs were captured entirely using my Infinix Smart 9, one of the most affordable smartphones available today. Yet these images prove that great storytelling is not defined by the price of the equipment, but by the vision behind it. Every frame represents a connection between the past and the present, preserving memories while creating new ones.

Four years ago, I walked through this city as an ordinary photographer. Today, I return with a broader vision, stronger experience, and a deeper appreciation for the journey that brought me here. Through these images, I have transformed memories into a story—one that blends nostalgia, the present moment, and hope for the future.

This is more than a collection of photographs.

This is a story of growth, resilience, and coming home.

A reminder of where I started, everything I have overcome, and the future that still lies ahead.

Somewhere in the mountains and forests of the Philippines lies a hidden spring resort surrounded by peaceful waters, tropical trees, cool mountain air, and quiet moments that feel almost untouched by time.

Kahulugan Spring Resort may not be the most luxurious place in the world, but its beauty comes from something deeper — the atmosphere, the calmness, and the emotions a place leaves behind long after the moment is over.

The gentle reflections on the water, the warm greens of the forest, the sunlight passing softly through the trees, and the peaceful silence of nature made everything feel nostalgic and cinematic in its own way.

These photos were captured using an affordable phone, proving that beautiful memories are not defined by expensive cameras, but by the feeling and story behind the moment itself.

For a little while, this hidden resort felt like a quiet summer film far away from the noise of the world.

From a silent morning breakfast at 7/11 to calm city highways, long countryside roads, a few passing vehicles under the summer heat, endless trees, and mountains waiting before sunset — everything felt like scenes from a film without needing anything dramatic to happen.

Hidden within the mountains of Jasaan, Misamis Oriental, Sagpulon Falls carried a silence that changed the rhythm of everything around it—water moving endlessly through stone, empty roads beside quiet homes, forest air untouched by urgency.

This series was captured as a visual observation rather than a destination diary. Each frame was approached with patience, distance, and stillness—allowing the environment to speak before the camera did.

𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

Across the Philippines, the atmosphere was slowly beginning to change after weeks of extreme summer heat.

April was dominated by harsh sunlight, dry air, and endless blue skies as temperatures climbed beyond 40°C. By the first week of May, clouds slowly started reclaiming the afternoons. Rain arrived unexpectedly — sometimes light, sometimes heavy — softening the heat before sunset and changing the atmosphere of the country once again.

These photographs were captured in Northern Mindanao, Philippines, during one of those rare mornings when the rain came earlier than expected.

Fog covered the countryside roads, reflections spread across the wet asphalt, distant headlights faded into the mist, and the silence of the morning slowly returned beneath the clouds.

This was no ordinary sunset.
It hung at the edge of change, a moment poised between what was and what could be.

As the sun bowed toward the horizon, its final light spilled across the clouds like liquid rose and violet, softening the world into a dream. The atmosphere carried a quiet anticipation, announcing the approach of the Lunar New Year of the Horse — a year of courage, motion, and endless possibilities.

For a fleeting heartbeat, time itself seemed to pause.
The last light caressed the land, a tender promise of renewal, before darkness slowly gave way to night.

As the day gently came to a close, the sky over Northern Mindanao was painted in soft pink hues, creating a calm and dreamy atmosphere.
