PECU BUKIDNON SUCCESSFULLY SECURES FOUR UNEXPLODED RIFLE GRENADES

In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Enhanced-Managing Police Operations, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, personnel of the Provincial EOD and Canine Unit (PECU) Bukidnon received a report regarding the presence of four unexploded rifle gr***des at the Kibawe Municipal Police Station (MPS). Upon arrival, the Explosive Incident Response Team (EIRT) coordinated closely with Kibawe MPS personnel to verify the presence of the ordnances and initiate the necessary safety protocols.

After positively identifying the ordnances, the team performed a Render-Safe Procedure (RSP) via Pick-up and Carry Away (PUCA). The recovered ammunitions are currently stored at the Temporary Collecting Point at the 1st Buk PMFC Camp, Malaybalay City, for safekeeping and proper disposition.

This successful turnover underscores our strengthened operational readiness. It reflects our commitment to community safety by ensuring that hazardous materials are managed with professional precision and unwavering dedication.

BUKIDNON PECU FORTIFIES COMMUNITY RESILIENCE THROUGH PROJECT A.B.K.D. IN PBCC

In line with the PNP Focused Agenda on Community Support, under the leadership of PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO, JR, Director, PNP-EOD/K9 Group, personnel of the Bukidnon Provincial EOD and Canine Unit (PECU), conducted a lecture on Project A.B.K.D. (Awareness of Bombs that Kill lives and Destroy properties) to 36 participants from Pangantucan Bukidnon Community College (PBCC) at Brgy. Poblacion, Pangantucan, Bukidnon.

This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to community safety. By promoting awareness of the perils posed by IEDs and bombs and actively developing a consciousness of safety within the public, we ensure a more vigilant, prepared, and secure environment for all.

Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni PBGEN ROGELIO Z RAYMUNDO JR., Acting Director ng PNP-EOD/K9 Group at sa pangunguna ni PMAJ LENARD RELOJ CARANDANG, OIC ng Regional EOD/K9 10 ay matagumpay na tumugon ang mga tauhan ng Bukidnon Provincial Explosive Ordnance Disposal and Canine Unit (PECU) sa kahilingan ng CIDG Bukidnon Provincial Field Unit hinggil sa pagkarekober ng tatlong (3) rifle fragmentation high-explosive gr***des.

Nakatanggap ng impormasyon ang yunit mula sa POMU Bukidnon Provincial Police Office at CIDG Bukidnon PFU sa pamamagitan ng tawag sa cellphone. Agad namang rumesponde ang Explosive Incident Response Team (EIRT) upang beripikahin ang ulat at magsagawa ng kaukulang aksyon.

Pagdating sa lugar, nagsagawa ng masusing assessment at evaluation ang mga EOD technician at positibong kinilala ang mga narekober bilang live explosive ordnance.

Isinagawa ang Render Safe Procedure (RSP) gamit ang Pick-up and Carry Away (PUCA) method upang matiyak ang ligtas na paghawak sa mga pampasabog.

Natapos ang operasyon nang walang anumang insidente.

PNP, PA SEIZE ARMS CACHE IN STA. TERESITA, CAGAYAN

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., in joint operations with the Philippine Army, successfully uncovered and seized an arms cache in the mountainous area of Sitio Tagcar, Brgy. Mission, Sta. Teresita, Cagayan on April 7, 2026, dealing a significant blow to the logistical capabilities of armed groups operating in the region.

At about 10:25 AM, personnel from the 2nd Cagayan Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), 112 Special Action Company (SAC), Cagayan Provincial Explosive and Canine Unit (PECU), 17th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army, Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Sta. Teresita Police Station conducted the operation based on information provided by a former rebel. Operating in a dense forested area, authorities located and excavated the hidden cache, confirming its use as a storage and possible transit point for weapons and explosive materials.

Recovered from the site were seven pieces of 40mm Ctg HEDP, six gr***de rifle M76 HE including four with bull traps and two additional units, five blasting caps with leg wires, four meters of detonating cord, ten pieces of 12-gauge shot shells, twelve rounds of .38 caliber ammunition, fifty-three rounds of 7.62 mm linked ammunition, two improvised explosive device components, one 12-gauge shotgun, one improvised shotgun, and two improvised shotgun barrels, along with batteries and wiring materials used for explosive assembly.

All recovered explosive materials are now under the custody of the Cagayan Provincial Explosive and Canine Unit for proper disposition and thorough examination, while the recovered fi****ms were turned over to the 2nd Cagayan Provincial Mobile Force Company for appropriate documentation and processing as authorities continue efforts to trace their origin and intended use.

“This operation reflects our sustained pressure against armed groups and their supply chains. We will continue to locate and neutralize hidden armaments that threaten peace and security,” said PGEN Nartatez. “Hindi kami titigil sa paghahanap ng mga nakatagong armas. Mahalaga na maagapan ang mga ito bago pa magamit laban sa mamamayan.”

The operation aligns with the PNP Focused Agenda—a strategic framework of transformation designed to make police service more responsive and reliable. At the heart of this agenda are key priorities that define the course of the PNP, with Enhanced Managing Police Operations taking center stage in intensifying intelligence-driven actions and joint operations to prevent the proliferation of loose fi****ms and explosives.

PGEN Nartatez further emphasized, “Every recovered weapon is a threat removed from our communities. Our efforts remain focused on protecting lives and ensuring stability across all areas.” “Patuloy nating palalakasin ang ating presensya sa mga liblib na lugar upang masigurong ligtas ang bawat komunidad.”

As the PNP strengthens its campaign against illegal weapons and armed groups under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the PNP continues to assure the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”
