North Philippine Temple Pit Vip
This species is venomous. It is a member of the family Viperidae (pit vipers), locally known in various parts of the Philippines as "dupong" or "walo-walo". While they are generally sluggish, docile, and rely heavily on camouflage, they possess heat-sensing pits to hunt and a potent hemotoxic/neurotoxic bite. Please keep a safe distance and do not attempt to handle or disturb it.
