it’s only been yesterday, and that was the only day we went to Komiket Bacolod on its final day, but somehow it already feels like one of those memories that stay longer than they should

idk if you’ll ever read this or not, zedrick, but even if you were still a new friend to me, you managed to expand something in me that day. i genuinely enjoyed photography more after walking up to you out of nowhere and starting with something as simple as “nice camera you got there.” from there it just turned into hours of random conversations about how the hell us filipinos survive the heat, convention stuff, cameras, gear, gundam, and so forth. i still genuinely cherish encouraging you to shoot more and not miss the opportunity to take photos of the grace ashcroft coser (Rosefranzz Redfield, ello haha), especially since it was your first convention too. and when you replied with “you only live once,” i think that moment stuck with me more than i expected...and then, out of pure coincidence, we crossed paths again later at landers in megaworld upper east after you mentioned it earlier; something completely unplanned, but it honestly felt like the day gave us one last moment before ending. at least i got to say “see you next time,” even if you already looked dead tired hahaha (somehow, finding out one of your family members had a connection with my dad made the world feel even smaller)

maybe it was just a simple interaction to everyone else, but to me, it became one of the best parts of yesterday. i’m genuinely glad i got to meet you and call you a friend, even if it’s still new. hopefully our paths cross again someday at another con, somewhere random, or wherever life decides

it was nice meeting you in person and a gratitude as well Art of Neight. truly one of my all-time favorite local artists. carrying a style so distinct and alive, breathing a different kind of soul into characters already known far and wide. your art carries a sense of familiarity while still feeling completely your own, and that kind of distinct style leaves a lasting impression
