Coffee War 331 Station
Sattahip, Chonburi


“Another branch of uniquely styled coffee shops in Sattahip set up inside an airplane has opened this week.

This branch is inside an Airbus A330 airplane in the 331 Station project which includes a BB gun court.

Fifty people can go inside the coffee shop for not more than one hour and social distancing rules are enforced as well as having proper hygiene measures. The coffee shop opens daily from 8AM to 5PM and coffee is reasonably priced.”

Nang Rong Beach
Sattahip, Chonburi


Located a little bit further from Hat Nang Ram, situated under the Royal Thai Navy Senior Club. It is about 200-metres long beach lined with pine trees and ideal for family picnic and swimming. Rental equipment for the beach are available like kayak, banana boats and floaters like air bed. It is open daily between 7.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m. Shower (10 baht) and toilet (5 baht) are also available in this area.

Entrance Fee: 20 baht per vehicle

I am a rookie when it comes to camping and every trip is a learning process. I opt for a group adventure and familiar locations within our reach. EOD beach camp is my go to place located along Sattahip, Chonburi province — a military controlled area.

Fee: 200 baht per tent

So Beach / Hat So


Another go to destination for beach hunters with clear blue waters and white sand smooth as flour. The water is shallow for quite distance from shore which is good to have good fun for kids or people who doesn’t know swimming.

Locals are the main priority in this area. Foreigners could somehow visit along with their Thai friends as guests.

Water adventure includes kayaking for rental 100B for hour (2 people), 150B for an hour (3 people). Also they have lot of small restaurants selling Thai food, juice, cold beverages, and beers. Entrance fee is 20B and it is great choice a family relaxed weekend outing if you are in bangkok, Pattaya or Chonburi. It is 2 to 2:30 hours drive from Bangkok if possible you must come before noon or after 4pm to escape the suns blistering heat.

Before 2021 ends, I got a chance to travel once more to Sattahip (big grin). This pristine beach is part of Chonburi province, Thailand. I have lived in this country for nearly half of my age and this by far is my favorite go to destination when it comes to beaches and accessibility. From Bangkok take Pattaya- Map Ta Phut Intercity Motorway for less traffic leading to Nang Ram beach. Within the beach there are guesthouses in small bungalow and dormitory type for visitors to stay. It’s very convenient if you have a private transport since the guesthouses are just a stone’s throw away from the beach, restaurants, souvenir shops and chair rentals.

Nang Ram beach is one of the nicest beaches we have visited in Eastern Thailand. Thanks to Google maps we accidentally came here instead of another location. From then on, we looked no further and kept coming back for three years in a row already.

“The beach area is controlled, and cared for, by the Thai Royal Navy, and this is probably the reason that it is far cleaner and tidier than the other beaches along the east coast.

This is essentially a beach for soaking up the sun, swimming in the beautifully clear water, and taking part in the restricted water sports provided.
Canoe yourself over to the small but do not set foot. Simply go to Hat Nang Ram to relax and enjoy the general ambience.

There is a good restaurant serving a wide range of foods – Thai and some western dishes. It is reasonably priced and there are several areas where you can sit under a thatched picnic table.”

Manang P**a Festival is a tribute to the town’s famous woman of substance and a celebration of the town’s patron saint, San Roque, which is held every August.
