K100,000 Water Supply Project Funding Shared for Kip 2 Communities
On 29th May 2026, a total funding of K100,000 for the Kip 2 Water Supply Project, generously provided by the Member for Mendi-Munihu Open Electorate, Hon. Raphael Tonpi, was officially distributed to the five clans of Kip 2 according to their allocated work areas. It is one out of many projects the MP has given to the people of MMD.
The funds were entrusted to the young and dedicated community leader, Mr. Ferman Penzo, who coordinated and distributed the allocation fairly among the five clans to support the successful implementation of this important community project.
Access to clean and reliable water is one of the most essential services for any community. This project will greatly benefit our schools by providing safe water for students and teachers, support health workers in delivering better healthcare services, assist pastors and church ministries in serving their congregations, and improve the daily lives and well-being of families throughout the community. Clean water promotes better health, sanitation, education, and overall community development.
This initiative demonstrates the importance of leadership that prioritizes basic services for rural people. Water is life, and investments in water supply are investments in the future of our children and generations to come.
On behalf of the people of Kip 2, we extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to Hon. Raphael Tonpi for his vision, commitment, and continued support in bringing much-needed services to rural communities. Your leadership and dedication to improving the lives of your people are truly valued and appreciated.
Thank you, Hon. Raphael Tonpi, for serving the people and investing in a healthier and brighter future. (The one pictured is Ferman Penjo)
