On Thursday, 2nd of July 2026, a total of 14 Elders from the Christian Apostolic Fellowship (CAF) Church were ordained during a week-long Morobe CAF Mass Ordination Program held at the Lae Secondary School Hall.

The program commenced on Tuesday, 30th of June 2026, and concluded on Friday, 3rd of July 2026, under the inspiring theme: "Making Way in the Wilderness."

This historic event was graced by the CAF Church Council Executives, including General Superintendent Ps. Jerry Eso, Deputy Superintendent Ps. Matthew Tapus, and General Secretary Ps. Tum Erasi, who ministered throughout the program.

Yesterday, 5th of July 2026, we had the honor of capturing the dedication and official opening of the newly rebuilt 4-in-1 classroom at Bumayong Lutheran Secondary School.

After the previous classroom building was destroyed by an electrical fire, School Principal ๐— ๐—ฟ. ๐—Ÿ๐˜‚๐—ฝ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ฃ๐—ต๐—ถ๐—น๐—ถ๐—ฝ๐˜€
engaged a local contractor to renovate and rebuild the facility. Following months of hard work, the project has now been successfully completed.

During the ceremony, Mr. Philips gave thanks to God and expressed his sincere appreciation to the students, parents, and the entire school community for their support through the Infrastructure Development Fee, which helped make this project possible.

The dedication and official opening were officiated by representatives from the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Papua New Guinea (ELC-PNG) and the Morobe Provincial Division of Education.

The new facility includes three classrooms for Grade 9 students and one classroom for the Christian Religious Education Department, providing a renewed learning environment for both students and teachers.

On Friday, 3rd of July 2026, a total of 10 pastors were ordained at the Lae Secondary School Multipurpose Hall during a week-long Mass Ordination Program of the Christian Apostolic Fellowship (CAF) Church in Morobe Province.

The full CAF Church Council gathered to commission these faithful church elders into the pastoral ministry, entrusting them with the sacred responsibility of preaching the Gospel of God.

These newly ordained pastors will serve CAF churches throughout Morobe Province and Papua New Guinea, strengthening and advancing God's Kingdom in their communities.

The historic ordination program concluded successfully on Friday evening, marking a significant milestone in the growth of the CAF Church in Morobe.

May the Lord continue to pour out fresh grace, wisdom, strength, and courage upon all 10 pastors as they faithfully step into this sacred calling.

Congratulations to all the newly ordained pastors! The harvest is plentiful, and the Lord of the harvest goes before you.

What an unforgettable experience it was with these beautiful people. I had the opportunity to travel to this beautiful island, which is one of the smallest white-sand islands in Western Province and PNG, the beautiful Otamabu Sandbang Island.

Like the Kiaps of the past, we had the opportunity to accompany this Technical Officers team on a field trip to Wipim in the South Fly District, Western Province. We traveled by air, along rugged roads, and across rivers and rough seas in dinghies, overcoming countless challenges in what was a difficult but rewarding experience.

The warm welcome, genuine hospitality, and heartfelt appreciation shown by the Wipim communities we visited are memories that will remain with us forever. You have truly won our hearts, and we believe the impact of these visits will live on as a lasting legacy in the hearts and minds of the people for many years to come.
