Loss and Gain
Grief is the price we pay for loving deeply.
Whether we lose a spouse, a marriage, our health, or a dream, grief is not something to overcome. It is something to carry with kindness until, little by little, it becomes part of us.
Healing does not mean forgetting.
It does not mean loving less.
It does not mean pretending the loss no longer matters.
It means learning to integrate our grief into our lives without allowing it to define our future.
As we slowly loosen our grip on what can no longer be, we create space for what still can be.
The love remains.
The memories remain.
The lessons remain.
But we no longer have to remain trapped in yesterday.
Acceptance takes time. There is no shortcut.
And perhaps one day, without betraying what we have lost, we discover that our hearts have quietly made room for hope again.
