Geoffroy’s Tamarin, known locally in Panama as “mono tití,” is Central America’s only tamarin species and Panama’s smallest monkey. A curious fact about young Tamarins is that they are carried on the back of an adult member of the group, and males usually carry and groom the babies more than females. Older siblings can also contribute to caring for the baby.
