Throwback to my time spent living in Poland. I was recently going back through some images and these brought back some happy memories. Shot in a forest close to home and also in the high Tatra Mountains on the border between Poland and Slovakia.
It had snowed heavily on both occasions, and this was just after the thaw, so much of the landscape was still in various stages of a freeze. So pretty don’t you think 🤗

You would know how sometimes nailing that perfect shot is not at all straightforward. So many things to consider, framing, timing, light - not to mention the optimum camera settings. In addition to that, for this shot I was sitting directly over the motors (think vibration overload), so holding steady for a nice clean shot was a bit of a challenge! Anyway this is what I got, and with very little tweaking needed in post processing. Did you know these little water taxis are called Abra’s by the way? Your thoughts 💬

Part of my mission to "create memories wherever I go" is to document anything and everything ... from the ordinary to the extraordinary! I'm thinking back now to a particularly short, but sweet time spent in Switzerland in the second half of 2016. This is a series of shots taken from our balcony at different times of the day and year, and I think you'll agree, it was quite beautiful.🌄🏔🌅
