Gallery259 continues as an idea....that will have real walls again somewhere. Presently I will be retiring for want of a better word and have more time to pursue and rebuild the dreams. One thing I am doing is stopping some online subscriptions....Joomla will be one of them and so later editions of the ANALOGUE RESISTANCE MAG will have images missing because I pay 9 dollars a month us. For xtra storage.with the free version of Joomla the earlier editions should still work.
I am also working on my inDesign skills so I can create and publish my own mags.
Thanks for checking in ........bring on the more time....

Holidays winding to an end........I have had fun playing with bokeh and extension tubes and lenses. Something very evocative for me in these images, these playthings....they represent feeling about xmas as a kid waiting to wake up...or it be time to and go out to the presents on the kitchen table....wrapped in there are visions of the magi bring gifts to the saviour born............there is dwarvish treasure beneath the mountain.....smaug clothed in gold.........these images evoke lots for me......little piles on a kitchen table and me poking a camera at them with a light on the side.

I am attending my own university at the moment ...finally setting aside time to remake all of my web presences in Dreamweaver. Working on Analogue Resistance .com and the moment. Editing and re editing what that means..........here's where I am at currently after hours of thinking and slashing......getting close.
pasted out of Dreamweaver editing panel.....

I was first hooked as a child, unknowingly at the time, while holding a silver gelatin print sitting on the lounge floor of the family home, having that magical experience of looking through the family Box Brownie archive . Fifty five plus years later in another life, while scanning silver gelatin paper negatives and observing details magnified x 150, I found myself still hooked, still a stunned mullet, wide eyed and gape mouthed, captivated by their absolute emulsive beauty and magicality.
People can have an aversion to the word 'resistance', it being seen as an oxymoron, 'negative' or 'anti' something, and yes in contemporary and historic contexts resistance movements operate in occupied spaces working towards restoration, replacement or freedom. Being part of a resistance movement might mean burning bridges or holding to a conviction. The Analogue Resistance (TAR) is an expression of freedom and has no interest in analogue vs digital debates or arguing, like who is right, who is the best, whose is the only way, or the only truth.
'Resistance' has another meaning or expression, and that being about choices made in daily life. Choices which in larger or smaller ways may slow down movement or a headlong plunge and in this context in the direction of an exponentially developing digital world.
Choices are personal, with myriad out-workings, expressions and blended outcomes. They can be deliberate acts of going against the flow, the current, the direction, against the more common thread.

I have been looking at the tulips emerging out of the foliage of my Mums Blood Lilies my wife Tracey had planted.
Got my a into g on a tired Friday night and fired up the GH4, found some delicious old lenses and the adapters........and went out onto the deck in my socks.......always a deliciously decadent feeling....and I shot off some frames. Twas a bit windy for the 10th second shutter speed.

1 image from yesterdays lockdown distraction.......this is the xray film one (the other is a paper negative version) ....which was under exposed...but the detail was so there...love that about emulsions, the info is there. Rescued digitally.......but could be done by a skilled darkroom person...when the neg is not right. So will expose longer than 2 secs next time in this light situation. Still I love it. Still some light leak and devo issues to sort.Think I will book in some time with Andrew Sanderson for some wisdom. Well worth the money.
More details in the description below. The important thing here for me......is the analogue birthmark is totally there even with the digital kiss

I was determined for today to have an analogue component to it......I did open the darkroom doors......cleaned my wet area for some work....but ended up mowing lawns, waterblasting the mower, fixing the clothesline, and doing other analogue stuff like chainsawing and getting firewood in for the week. At days end I washed and headed out while there was still light. I found a spot near where we live and watched and waited.......it was cold, I was warm as.......and shot with my Minolta 70 - 300 stopped down half way....any more and it shows dirt on the Gh4 sensor (a cleaning job for this week)
