The 7-14 year old Feilding Moa runners ran a 3.2 km loop today with three fence jumps and approximately 100m elevation. This is then full of energy at the beginning of their race. Loved observing the love between siblings with high fives as the younger ones finished, two brothers running together with the older one saying you've got this and other siblings looking out for each other after the race. Cross country running is a fantastic family sport for all abilities.

Spectacular autumn day in Awahuri at the annual Woodruff cup event in what I would class as an extremely challenging course for some, while others made it look too easy. Quite a few fence jumps over a 3.2km loop of which the Senior Men ran around three times. You made it look very easy Damien Lardner. Congratulations on your win. Thanks for another fabulously run event Feilding Moa and for the weather you ordered up. That sun was glorious. This was the start of the adults races.

Tomorrow it is Saturday and that means its another Feilding Moa Cross Country run - so come and join this fun, friendly social and competitive group of runners and walkers at this weeks venue :- 1831a SH3, just before the Mt Stewart passing lanes

1:30pm Minimoas 1km,

Boys and Girls 7-13, 2.5km,

Walkers 5km

Women, Junior women, Colts – U18 men 5km

Men, U20 men, 7.5km

This week we introduce a "non-competitive" grade for Senior men and women - where the standard distance will most weeks be the same as per Junior Women & Colts.

This grade will suit those feeling their way, with the option to run a shorter distance, however you will not be eligible for Trophies.

Well thats a wrap for the ANZAC Day Relay photographs. Hope you all enjoyed your 2km run and the sunny day that we dialled up for you. Peter was the chief photographer this year. These were some of our favourites. Thanks Wanganui Harrier Club for putting on a fabulous event yet again and thanks for coming to join us Palmerston North Athletic & Harrier Club, Feilding Moa Egmont Athletics Club Athletics Wanganui Inc Manawatu Striders to remember those who fought for us at the battlefields and never got to run in their prime years

The first lap of a relay is great because you can always tell who the leaders are. Most of the teams seem to put their fastest runners on this lap to help them get a good start and then encourage their team mates to either keep or better their position.
