I'd moved to Wellington with the big dream of being famous one day from just god damn hard work! . My best mate Adrian had just moved to Welly from Christchurch as well- to Open 'Coyotes' on Courtenay place. Biggest club on the circuit suddenly!~ It became my 'family' though - never failing the family we became as originally outsiders from the south Island... through good times & bad.
While making movies- I was also Coyotes 'sound guy' which walked me in the front door of EVERY club in Wellington as it sounded 'pretty good' ... Id been tuning cinemas! Nite clubs were SO much fun!

Case in point- the exclusive after party at Sandwiches niteclub with 'Minuit' (also the progression of my old Nelson youth group band) - the nite of 'We won 11 Oscars' equalling 'Titanic' ... Emily was a UK tourist & former 'Jerry Springer' producer I had 'Clicked with' and made sure everyone in Wellington that nite- KNEW what we had achieved. She became the sister in law of a good friend, a kind friend... and we are still in touch today.
