It was a beautiful day, not a cloud in the sky, the sun was shining it's blessings down on these two amazing people.
What a privilege it was to capture my friends walking down the isle to seal the deal on this next part of their journey.
There were tears, there was laughter and you could just feel the love in the air.

"You came into our life one day, so stunning and so smart. My dearest sweet day to day companion, we loved you from the start.

You bought so much laughter to our home and richness to the days. You were a constant friend through joy or loss, with your gentle loving ways.

We will miss finding hair on the couch and on the floor, and feeling your gentle "please pat me" paw.

And though we knew your time would come and we would have to part.
You'll never ever be forgotten, for you left paw prints on our hearts."

I have done quite a few nearing the end sessions with family pets. It is such an honor capturing some final moments with them and their family. I love hearing their life story, their quirks and favorite places to go.
As a Vet Nurse and pet owner, I understand the love and the grief.
Not going to lie, I usually get to the car and cry like a baby for the families inpending loss.

I try to make my sessions with kids fun, and what better place to have fun than at the beach!

It is so special to meet clients for their maternity session and then come back a few weeks later to meet their newborn.
The baby snuggles, the birth stories, the highs, the lows, I love hearing it all.
The look of love and admiration that the parents have for their new creation and for each other in this new part of their journey is unmatched.
It's honestly magical, sometimes I leave newborn sessions with a little happy tear!

Beach vibes + beautiful people + homemade pizza + good yarns!!
This little family is so fun to capture, just such genuine people, I have had the honor of photographing them a few times now and on this occasion we did a Golden hour maternity session at Tawharanui and by the end of it the little guy was hungry (he did so well holding out) and to be honest I was secretly starving haha. They said they had home made pizza in the car and planned on having dinner there after the session and like truly amazing people they are they invited me to sit with them for a few slices, they were soooo yummy! From first meeting this Muma with her parent's photoshoot for their wedding anniversary photos, to family photos, to a suprise engagement, to her wedding, to meeting this little guy here and now capturing his journey.
